"Oh dont cry, eat this pumpkin"
Gertie the Dinosaur by Windsor McCay, the creator of one of my favorite animated movies Little Nemo. Not the first animated film but it's still pretty funny in its primitiveness.
Very surreal film. I Used to watch this a lot when I was five and six and the black blob gave me nightmares.
